IFUB*: To build better we build community projects and smaller apartments
We don’t want to build structures that are environmentally unfriendly and unhealthy to live in, say architects Bernhard Kurz and Johannes Krohne of the IFUB* studio. And when you build smaller apartments, you have more money left over to use high-quality materials that are harmless and won’t create waste in the future. They believe that one way to ensure apartments don’t have to be huge, yet still provide residents with everything they need for a happy life, is through community living. This allows for shared spaces for work, socializing, and other communal activities, and enables people to live in a high-quality environment shared with like-minded individuals.
